Gail is
a Metis director/writer/producer, proud to speak my language
Cree/Michif. She originates from Saskatchewan but calls Toronto
“home” for now.
She is
editing her feature documentary “SCREAM YOUR DREAMS”.

“SMUDGE”
and “Memory In Bones” will be screening at the
Smithsonian’s Museum of the Native American Indian for
their 25th anniversary, in November.
“SMUDGE”
was selected by Michael Moore to be part of his 2nd annual
Traverse City Film Festival.
“SMUDGE”
was invited to this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Gail
was one of five Canadian filmmakers selected.
Gail
was also awarded the Alliance Atlantis Mentorship award, with
Cindy Witten, VP History Channel at the 2005 ImagineNATIVE
film festival.
Gail wrote,
directed and produced her first video Little Indians in February
2004, it was invited to numerous festivals world wide, since
then she’s made MEMORY IN BONES and ME+D=AHH also screened
worldwide.
She is
currently writing 3 television series and trying to find a
co-producer for her feature film BLOOD LINES.
She has
also written a short drama ASSINI with development funds from
The National Film Board of Canada. She finished writing BLOOD
LINES with development funds from The Canada Council for the
Arts and the Harold Greenberg Fund.
